Welcome back the Capt. Molly Kool

After a brudal winter the Molly Kool returned to St. John's today. She was recently escorting the St. Barbe ferry but was relived by the Terry Fox. I think the Kool performed well, she is the former Vidar Viking that the goverment bought, along with two other ships. The Kool is 275 feet, and 18,020 HP. I think now work begins to get her ready to go north this summer.

Big Ship, Little ship

On Sunday morning the cargo ship Nunalik arrived from Norway with the Multi Green on its deck. The Multi Green weights 299 gross tons and is 27 meters, far to small to come across the atlantic this time of the year.

The Multi Green is part of fish harvesting plant in and around placentia bay, and I think there are more of these ships coming.

Sir Robert Bond...closer to scrap?

The Canadian Registry on the Sir Robert Bond, was closed Jan 25, 2019, very possible it the first step closer to scrap.

I called Transport Canada, and spoke to a couple people and they confirmed that the Bond has been sold foreign, they never had any othe information to add. The Bond is still tied up in Sydport across from North Sydney, I guess all thats left now is to wait for a tug to get her started on her final journey .
