A new arrival

The Kitikmeoot W, a new tanker for the Woodward group arrived St. John's from Montreal. The ship was built in 2010 and measures 13,097 gross tons. One of the new tankers, the Tuvaq W arrived a couple weeks ago.

Cable ship visits

The french cable ship Ile De Sein visited St. John's May 23, 2018. The ship was built in 2001 and measures 140.76 meters.

Mondsy Sctivity

Momday, saw the Seim Pilot arrive, as well as Atlantic Shrike. The supply vessels were lined up, starting with the Atlantic Raven, Atlantic Kingfisher and Atlantic Osprey, the Osprey just returned from Halifax. The Ann Harvey is still in port, along with Terry Fox, Louis s st laurent, and the Henry Larsen is under going a refit.

Cruise ship visit, Maersk Norseman departs

May 16, 2018, Wednesday saw the Fram arrived and depart for Iceland, before her was the Atlantic Griffon departed for the Hebron Field.

The notable departure was the Thor Express, the former Maersk Norseman. The Maersk Norseman and Maersk Nascopie are sold to A1 offshore of Denmak, they will be used for Europe wind farms in Denmark, both these ships were built in 1996 in Marystown, the Norseman departed first for Germany for dry-dock

Spigelgracht in, Nain Banker out and New name for Maersk Norseman

May 7, 2018,  saw the Spigelgracht, a cargo ship built in 1999 arrived, and the Nain Banker, huilt in 1989 but the Newfoundland and Labrador government, but was sold to the private sector. Also while at the dock, I noticed the Maersk Norseman name was painted over.

Another tug for dry-dock

 The Atlantic Cedar shown on dry dock getting a new paint job. The tug is 30.8 meters long, gtoss tonnage 400, and built in 2005.
