Parking Lot at the Harbour

The harbour is filled with supply ships, with the slow in the oil indutry and the tow out complerted of the Hebron GBS, the supply ships returned St. John's.

Nanny Departs after repairs

The tanker Nanny departed St. John's today after having repairs completed.

Tugs are back

The tugs Svitzer Njal and Svitzer Nerthus are back in St. John's after leaving last week. According to tugfax they will be operatig up north.

Headed to Fogo

The new ferry Legionnaire departed Lewisporte June 17, 2017 headed to Fogo. The Veteran apparently has ice damage to the point where they would only handle emergencies, she is now headed to St. John's.

Out for Trials

The new Atlantic Shrike shown in this photo arriving St. John's after being out on trials. The ship measures 85.6 meters long and has 8,315 horse power.

The big suuply vessel Maersk Lifter arrived in St. John's June 15, 2017 after complreting the tow of the Hebron GBS.

I am a few days behind updating. Let me start with June 10, 2017 and the Nanny at Log Pond and tugs Svitzer Nerthus and Svitzer Njal.

June 11, 2017, the Amundsen was in loading supplies, Maersk Nexus arrived

June 12, 2017, the Nanny was in St. Jjohn's and the Sanderling was on the north side

June 14, 2017 the Maersk Norseman departed for Hbernia, while the cargo ship Floretgracht departed for Montreal

Fog, Fog and more Fog

June 7, 2017 seen in the fog were the tugs Svitzer Njal and Svitzer Nerthus making a stop while heading North. Also in port was the HHL Tokyo, measuring 168 meters and built in 2011. I beleive she is doing work for Suncor, but not sure, but a coasting licencse was applied for.

Travestern is back, Oceanex Sanderling and Ocean Endeavour arrives in fog,

After being here last weekend, the Travestern is back. She made a trip to Come by Chance and back to St. Jjohn's. TThe Oceanex Sanderling arrived on her weekly visit in the fog with fog horn blowing, today, while the Ocean Endeavour arrived in fog yesterday

Another tug for dry-dock

 The Atlantic Cedar shown on dry dock getting a new paint job. The tug is 30.8 meters long, gtoss tonnage 400, and built in 2005.
