Skandi Achiever and other activity

The diving support vessel Skandi Achiever arrived in port last Saturday evening, quite a ship at 107 meters.

Next cruise ship ....ROTTERDAM

Todays big arrival was the Rotterdam, which is owned by Holland America arrived in St. John's around 1100hrs and will depart again at 2000hrs for Halifax.

The Rotterdam, was built in 1997, she is 780 feet long has a passenger capacity of 1,404 and 600 crew.

Warships visit, and other happenings

The weekend saw the Canadian warships HMCS Fredericton and HMCS St. John's, pay a visit. The Fredericton is returning from deployment and the St. John's is visiting the coincides with some of her crew running the rock raising money for the children's

 The Atlantic Cedar shown on dry dock getting a new paint job. The tug is 30.8 meters long, gtoss tonnage 400, and built in 2005.
