On the Tickle

Over the weekend I visited Portugal Cove to see the new Grace Sparkes. While there I couldn't help to take some photos of the Flanders.
The Flanders built in 1990 in Marystown, Newfoundland is 50.14 meters long, gross tonnage 1,035 rated Hp 5,360. I think the Flanders is the most reliable ferry operating with the Newfoundlandland Government, she can handle the winds and sea like no other, usually when a ferry is tied up due to weather the Flanders is still going.

The Grace Sparkes built in 2011 in Marystown, Newfoundland is 38.45 meters long, gross tonnage is 930, she cost $27.5 million and can carry 80 passengers and 16 cars or one tractor and 11 cars.
