Seven Eagle for fuel

The construction / flexlay diving vessel Seven Eagle shown departing the fuel dock in St. John's Dec 14, 2012.. The ship built in 1997, 138 meter's long, 9,556 GT, and is flying the flag of Liberia. The ship has been working on the oil fields off Newfoundland and comes to St. John's for fuel and supplies.

In for a big tow


The American tug Charlene Hunt arrived St. John's Dec 9, 2012 to tow the cruise ship Lyubov Orlova out of St. John's and to the Dominican Republic where she will be scrapped according to CBC News reports. The tug built in 1962, and the Orlova which has been in St. John's since 2010 will leave the week of Dec 17, 2012 and according to the Captain of the tug will take 23 days to reach the Dominican Republic.

The Coast Guard Research Vessel Alfred Needler shown in this photo secured in St. John's Nov 25, 2012. The ship according to shipfax is going for a refit in Shelbourne, Nova Scotia.

Another tug for dry-dock

 The Atlantic Cedar shown on dry dock getting a new paint job. The tug is 30.8 meters long, gtoss tonnage 400, and built in 2005.
