Seven Havila

The Seven Havila shown in this photo tied up in St. John's Oct 22, 2012. The Seven Havila a diving support vessel visited a few times during the summer was doing work on the oil field off Newfoundland. The ship built in 2011, is 120 meters long, is 11,071 GRT, and has a speed of 16 knots.

Polarcus Amani

The high tech arctic seismic vessel Polarcus Amani arrived in St. John's Oct 21, 2012. The ship is 92 meter's long, and 21 meter's wide, it has a double hull and a very high ice class (ICE 1A Super), it also has the unigue X-bow design.

Oceanex Supership to join fleet

The local CBC News, and local newspaper the telegram reported yesterday that Oceanex is building a state of the heart ship to join its fleet in 2013.

The new ship is being built in Germany and will be named Oceanex Connaigra, it is 210 meter's long, the main deck came accomadate 5 times more weigh then other ships its size. It is named after the Connaigra Penn in Newfoundland. It has an extra wide stern, it will be the largest in Canada, total price is $108 million.

Another tug for dry-dock

 The Atlantic Cedar shown on dry dock getting a new paint job. The tug is 30.8 meters long, gtoss tonnage 400, and built in 2005.
