CCGS Harp to be decommisioned?????

CBC News in Newfoundland has learned that the CCGS Harp based in St. Anthony will be retired. The Harp is mainly used for Search and Recue patrol along the Strait of Belle Isle and the Labrador coast, it is the only coast guard ship that maintains a presence along the coast of Labrador. The Hapr built in 1986 in Georgetown, PEI, she is the sister ship to the former CCGS Hood, which was based in Twillingate and was decommisioned in 2002, she is now known as the Marine Eagle and is owned by Puddister trading of St. John's.

Another tug for dry-dock

 The Atlantic Cedar shown on dry dock getting a new paint job. The tug is 30.8 meters long, gtoss tonnage 400, and built in 2005.
