Apollo heads for refit

The St. Barbe to Blanc Sablon ferry Apollo finished on the Straits run on Jan 23, 2011 and is heading for refit for two months. While she is gone the Sir Robert Bond will fill in. The Bond is due to depart Lewisporte sometime Jan 24, 2011 and hea to Blanc Sablon to pick up the run Wednesday Jan 25, 2011 departing at 0700hrs for Corner Brook.

Corner Brook is being used again this year, as St. Barbe is too small of a port for the Bond.

The old and the new

The BLUE PUTTEES and the CARIBOU shown secured in Noth Sydney, Nova Scotia Jan 12, 2011, taken by my brother from the Joseph and Clara Smallwood.
The CARIBOU is now retired and the BLUE PUTTEES is due to start the run in Feb 2011.

Another tug for dry-dock

 The Atlantic Cedar shown on dry dock getting a new paint job. The tug is 30.8 meters long, gtoss tonnage 400, and built in 2005.
