The 2009 shipping season for the Labrador coast is coming to an end for the year with the arrval of the SIR ROBERT BOND in Lewisporte today after her last trip being a full load to Cartwright, Nataushish and Nain. The NORTHERN RANGER is due to arrive in Lewisporte tomorrow (Dec 4, 2009) which will conclude her season,the vessel would have finished earlier but with a lot of freight it was decided to send her back to Northern Labrador ports with another load. The other freight vessel on the run the ASTRON is still on the coast of Labrador but will finish soon and head to St. John's for the winter, after making stops in Cartwright, Black Tickle and Lewisporte.
The Atlantic Cedar shown on dry dock getting a new paint job. The tug is 30.8 meters long, gtoss tonnage 400, and built in 2005.
